Try Yoga

Yoga is a great way to relax and clear your mind, while at the same time getting your body into shape.  Go to your local library and get a DVD or book so you can try it at home. Try yoga basics first and and if you like it work your way up to more advanced or yoga that targets specific areas like Yoga for Abs.

I Feel Great!

Try this technique I learned: Add some happiness to your day by saying to yourself and out loud, "I Feel Great" (with enthusiasm). After repeating this to yourself several times a day your sub-conscious will start believing you and you will have a better day. Our thoughts determine our emotions.

Switch off the TV

Only watch TV shows/movies that inspire you or add value to your life otherwise read a great book. Reading is great for your brain and you will feel better for it.

Calm in a hectic day

Find a picture or photo of what you feel is calm, for example waves lapping on a sandy beach. Put this picture up in a spot you pass often during the day like the fridge door.  So when you are having a hectic day, look at this picture and this may help you feel a sense of calm.

How to Start your Day

Wake up before the kids even if it is 10 minutes so you can get your mind in a Positive frame.
First give thanks for your children.  Then think about the tasks you have to do today, vision how you would like them to go (even though you may have some challenges).
Expect good things to happen and your mind will look for the good in everything.
